The nation had lost its guiding star—lost its way. Jeremiah tried to warn them about what would befall them if they continued on in their errors. Jeremiah’s words of warning were rejected, and the nation fell. But he continued to cajole, and to console, showing them the way home. Switch to today—a nation on the brink of collapse, not listening to words of reason, to science, to dire warnings of climate change, denying the good of vaccinations, and following a false god. Somethings never change. Question: Am I willing to continue working for change even when it looks as though it is hopeless? Join the resistance, keep hopeful, stay informed. God did save Israel. Jeremiah 7:1-8
