Today the Prophet Isaiah tells the heavens to sing out and the mountains to burst into song with joy. I wonder what the stars and mountains would sound like if I could hear them singing? I’ve heard the whoosh of a falling star, and the roar of wind on a mountain top. Those sounds are powerful and magical, but not exactly musical. I suspect that God loves those sounds anyway, meaning that when we raise our voices in joy, God loves the sound even if it is not exactly musical either. So…lift up your voice…make a joyful noise! Don’t worry about the quality, God doesn’t! Just make it heart-felt!!
