‘All those who were my friends are on the watch for any misstep,’ laments poor Jeremiah today. He really had a terrible life! Sometimes it is hard to find true friends; we get hurt or let down by those we thought were friends. We may feel like they are likely to pounce on any misstep. Remember they are human and so are you. Maybe you’ve let them down, too. For consolation, think of the song, “What a Friend I Have in Jesus.” He will never let you down and forgives when you let him down. Be that kind of friend to others.
