Notice that we are not told to sing beautifully, only joyfully. The quality of our voice is not important. What is important is that we sing. So many times, folks have said to me that they cannot sing well, so they don’t. My retort is that if God had wanted you to sound differently, you would, so give back to God your praise in the voice you have. I have terrible penmanship (I mean really terrible!) but I still write letters to friends. They are happy to hear from me even if it requires a bit of deciphering. Don’t let the quality of your praises deter you from singing your praises. Sing joyfully to the Lord, and it will be the most beautiful thing the Lord hears all day. And you don’t even have to warm up your voice—just sing!!! Image from Feepic
