Today we are reminded that God sends his blessings (rain) on the just as well as the unjust. One could, and does, ask why! Why should the unjust get anything, we might, and do, demand. Well, it is hubris that makes us ask such a question, because we are probably thinking that we are the just. Then we are told to love everyone–the good and the not so good. I am glad we have been told to behave that way, because otherwise, we would love no one. I am not always good, but I hope to be loved. I’m guessing that if we examine our hearts a bit, we might really be glad God rains his blessings on both, or we’d be left parched and dry often.
