December 13 Moses Burning Bush
Moses was a murderer, a fugitive from justice, and had a speech impediment. Not the person one would choose for the big task of leading the enslaved Israelites to freedom. But God saw something in Moses that was not obvious to others. God looked into his heart and saw a man of strength, understanding, and deep faith. The great I AM called Moses, spoke to him face to face, and gave him what he needed to “herd cats”, that is, lead the Israelites out of Egypt to the promised land. Imagine what we can do with God’s help.
Prayer: O God, I am flawed. Yet, I have talents that only you can see. Help me to recognize them and use them for your greater glory.
