1.) November 29, 2020 Creation Gen 1:1-4a
In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth and the earth was without form or shape, with darkness over the abyss and a mighty wind sweeping over the waters then God said: Let there be light, and there was light. God saw that the light was good.
(God smiled and found everything good)
For endless ages chaos reigned—in abject darkness mighty winds swirled, churning the inky waters and desolation filled the formless abyss. Nothing wholesome existed—no warmth, no light, no life. Only nothingness. Yet in a split second everything changed. With a voice louder than the wind, and stronger than the darkness, God chose the right moment to begin time. God chose the right moment to employ His mighty creative force that overcame the chaos. The only Goodness in all of primeval history called for light. And in that instant, darkness fled, warmth flowed, winds ceased, and chaos was crushed. The goodness of God filled creation. God smiled.
Thought: Do I see the goodness of God in all creation?
