A random thought

Today in Luke’s Gospel https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/010722.cfm a leper comes to Jesus. Luke tells us that the leper is “full of leprosy”. I think of leprosy as a sort of rot. The un-named leper (un-named so insert yourself into the story) is rotten to the core. Still a request for healing is made. Does that mean that no matter the degree to which I have disregarded the teaching of Christ, I can still be healed. The leper was healed according to how firmly s/he believed. I worry about how deep my faith is. Then Jesus sends the healed leper to see the priests and do the proscribed offering for the healing. Do I stop to give thanks for my moments of healing? Am I living fully my Christian Life and telling others by my actions and my words?

I’ve decided to try to live my Christian Life on my blog. Look for more random musings here. Have a blessed day!
