Monday 4th Week of Lent

March 28, 2022

Did you know that God delights in you? We were created to be a delight! If we think about that for a bit, the first thought is, “Wow, that’s wonderful!” The second thought is, “Do I believe that and live like I am the delight of God’s eye?” Today, the prophet Isaiah goes on to proclaim that God is making all things new. Psalm 30 says that with dawn comes rejoicing, and in John’s Gospel, Jesus restores health and life to a sick child. The father believes Jesus when he is told by him that his son will live, even though they are a day’s journey away. The father and his whole household come to faith because of this—newness, dawn, joy, and delight. We are given so many wonderful things today. Now is when the rubber meets the road. Given all this, do we treat each day as a new blessing? Do we stop to notice all the little gifts of this new day? Do we feel the blessings and believe that we delight God? Today is a gift. How we use it is our gift back to God. Skip and sing for joy! God delights in you and me!!
