December 9 Leah Glasses
Leah was the unloved wife of Jacob. She saw how he doted on Rebecca. Even though Leah had giving Jacob sons, he still loved her sister and not her. That had to hurt. When have you felt unloved, overlooked, discarded? How did that feel? Did you sulk or do some self-analysis about why this is happening? Can you identify something that should change about you that would change the situation? Turn to God for discernment. God blessed Leah with children, and Jesus’ genealogy is traced through her son Judah. God loves you and works through you for good things no matter how you think others feel about you.
Prayers: O God, give me discernment so I can see myself through the eyes of others and the courage to change what may be lacking. Help me to realized that I am loved more than I can comprehend, and that I am your hands here to make good things happen.
