20th Day of Advent 2020

20.) December 18, 2020  Daniel  Dan 7:13-14

As the visions during the night continued, I saw coming with the clouds of heavenone like a son of man. When he reached the Ancient of Days and was presented before him, He received dominion, splendor, and kingship all nations, peoples and tongues will serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not pass away, his kingship, one that shall not be destroyed.

(Daniel was an interpreter of dreams, and a wise young prophet)

I had a great, albeit, uncomfortable gift—I knew and understood what God was saying through dreams and signs. This gift got me into trouble sometimes, but I used it as God intended. I was faithful and faith-filled and did not hold back. The king’s dream of a golden statue with feet of clay was not welcome, though I still told him that it foretold the destruction his linage. The writing on the wall was terrifying, yet I told the unwelcome truth—he died. My own visions were frightening, but I still prophesied. And Jesus Christ, the ‘Son of Man’, did come. Thought: Though sometimes I feel my gifts are not what I would choose, do I trust that they are what God wants me to have and to use?
