Saturday Week 3 of Lent March 29, 2025
Luke 18:14: “…for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled.” Everyone is talented in some way or the other. Talents are God-given gifts to be used to better the world. Not to use a gift is sinful, akin to hoarding. Yet self-aggrandizement, calling attention to what we’ve done is not acceptable behavior, especially when we mock others for not being as blessed with talents as we are. Tearing someone, or a group, down in order to build up yourself only makes you smaller, petty, pathetic. Work with your talents, laud fellow workers, and remain humble. God frowns on braggarts.
