December 1 Adam and Eve. An Apple
It slithers up, oiling the lies so they become easy to swallow. Evil makes passions like jealousy, hate, anger, unchecked power, greed and dishonesty seem alright. We are weak. We forget at what cost our inability to resist comes. Yet, aware of our weakness, to redeem us, a promise was made. In the fulness of time, a promise was kept. At what cost our redemption came! Prepare to celebrate that promised fulfilled.
Prayer: O God, when my moments of weakness wash over me, when I stumble and fall away, when I listen to the unctuous voice of the tempter, give me strength to resist. Yet, if I fail, give me courage, humility and strength to turn to You for forgiveness. You kept your promise, sent a savoir. Forgive me.
