Do I sigh and call out to be set free? Maybe I am too comfortable in the prison of my own making. In my prison I don’t every have to look at and acknowledge the poor, lonely, sick, abused, any of those on the fringe of my very comfortable life. My prison has plenty of food, heat, and is well furnished. I have no need to leave and probably don’t want to. It’s time for me to find ways to be in solidarity with “the other” and sigh to get out of my self-made prison.
