Saturday 4th Week of Lent March 20,2021

“Yet I, like a trusting lamb…” says Jeremiah. https://bible.usccb.org/readings/calendar.  I am I so trusting? Lambs are often depicted as stupidly trusting, to the point of putting themselves in peril. But we know that if we place our trust in the Lord, we will not be putting ourselves in peril. The Lord is the only entity deserving of absolute trust. But doing so it not easy. We rather like being in control—or to think that we are in control. The expression “Let go, and let God” is easy to say, but requires deep faith and trust. I don’t like thinking of myself as a dumb lamb, but in the overall scheme of things, I am. My prayer should always be, “Lord, where do you wish to lead me.”  Photo by Pintrest
