Tuesday December 7, 2021 Jesse Tree- Passover and Exodus Isaiah 40:1-11
The prophet Isaiah promises us that our guilt, our slavery to sin, is washed away and God will shepherd us over a newly made highway to a rich land. Our Jewish ancestors were also led from the land of slavery to a land of ‘milk and honey’, as we symbolize with our next Jesse Tree ornament. We will be, as were they, protected on our life journey, even though it may pass through wasteland, rugged hills, and deep valleys. The Gospel for today (Matt 18:12-14) speaks of God’s love for us even when we wander. The path is marked for us, Jesus will shepherd us. Have faith during the wasteland moments. Keep walking.
